With the opportunity for a Business Operational Risk Manager now available, we seek expressions of interest from highly experienced operational risk managers and internal auditors keen to diversify into a market leading financial markets business.
Reporting into the Group's Head of Business Operations Risk based in Sydney, you will play a key role in assisting the business in identifying operational risks, assessing adequacy of controls to manage such risks and contributing to the continual improvement of the Group's framework. Your commercial approach and ability to build relationships at all levels will allow you to work and interact with a wide range of business partners increasing awareness of operational risks and controls whilst also assisting them with obtaining internal approvals for the implementation of new activities in a controlled manner. Adding further diversity to the role will be the opportunity to design and manage an assurance programme capturing the design and effectiveness of controls as well as implementing targeted operational risk reviews.
To be successful, you will:
bring proven experience in an operational risk management, internal audit or operations management capacity, ideally gained within a financial services environment
have a college degree in an accounting, finance or related discipline- relevant postgraduate qualifications will also be highly regarded
possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and display initiative to lead discussions with business leaders and risk management colleagues
be numerate, able to problem solve and drive issues through to completion
display a professional work approach, work independently, be highly visible and provide transparency of process to clients and the team
